Aims and Values
Stantonbury’s mission is expressed through the concepts of excellence, independence and opportunity underpinned by our core values of creativity, respect, equality, aspiration, teamwork and excellence (CREATE).
We will strive to ensure that all students are successful learners achieving academic outcomes well above the national norms and earning accreditation for their musical, sporting and creative skills through a strong co-curricular programme. As a result of our provision, students will be able to express their opinions and passions articulately and confidently with due consideration for others.
We aim to cultivate the development of independence of thought and learning in the pursuit of excellence. Students will develop their individual strengths and skills and build the integrity, self-discipline, decision-making and resilience necessary to develop their own success and that of others.
Students will follow a curriculum that gives them a firm foundation in the disciplines that support all learning, including strong English and maths provision, and that allows them success at the highest levels. Students will be able to select from a wide range of subjects and extra-curricular opportunities enabling them to pursue their interests to the highest levels and to contribute as leaders to the development of the school and society. They will develop an understanding of their social responsibility and the scope they have to make a difference in their local communities and as world citizens.
In achieving our aims, we are committed to securing the trust and partnership between students, parents and the school that is crucial to each student’s success.
