Sixth Form students at Stantonbury Campus are celebrating another year of strong results with 114 students completing their courses this year. Students following academic courses achieved a pass rate of 99% with 36% of results at the top grades of A*-B. There was strong performance at A2 in English, mathematics, communications and dance – where between half and two thirds of students were awarded A*-B grades.
Students on vocational courses again achieved outstanding results. We offer sport, creative and media production, performing arts, health and social care and finance. We are delighted that students again achieved a100% success rate. Every student taking exams in sport, health and social care achieved at least one distinction or distinction* pass and, across all courses, over three quarters of students reached this level.
Over 100 students now have the grades to go on to university and many will go to top universities at home and abroad.
Jon Adamson (Head of Sixth Form) said, “We are delighted that, on first analysis, our results have held up, despite reports of a national drop in grades awarded.” Chris Williams (Principal) added his congratulations to students and staff for their sustained hard work and dedication in another good year for the campus.
