An educational Residential visit to Aachen, Germany 22-24 November 2018
The Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Department at Stantonbury International School is pleased to open up the visit to a Christmas Market in Aachen, north-west Germany near the Belgian-German border for pupils presently in year 7 year 9 and year 10 and 11. We will leave late Thursday night 22nd of November and return to school on Saturday evening 24th November.
The full cost of the trip will be £140. This figure is made up as follows:
Travel: A voluntary contribution of £45 is requested towards the cost of travel by Le Shuttle and coach. There is no obligation to contribute. However, we regret that the visit may be cancelled if insufficient contributions are received and all monies paid will then be returned. We should make it clear that no student at the Campus will be treated any differently whether or not a contribution has been made.
Board and Lodgings; £95 which includes accommodation for 1 night at A&0 Aachen Haptbahnhof and half board. Breakfast will be provided on arrival and before departure. Dinner will be provided at the hostel. Lunches in Aachen and meals en-route to and from Germany are not included.
Families in receipt of certain benefits (including free school meals) may qualify for assistance and parents in this situation should make this known to me, as the party leader, as soon as possible. Please also refer to the Schools Charging and Remissions Policy available here on the website or in hard copy from Student Services.
This will be an invaluable experience and should your child wish to attend, you will need to return the reply slip on the official letter attached below with a cheque/ cash made payable to Stantonbury Campus Fund, with your child’s name and tutor group written in the reverse. Places on the trip are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you would like your child to take part in this educational experience, please return the reply slip with a deposit of £40 September 24th. This should be returned in an envelope, clearly labelled with your child’s name and form and the title of the trip, to the Finance Office.
The second payment of £50 will be due by Friday 5th October.
A final payment of £50 will be due by Friday 6th November.
