STAGESTRUCK YOUTH THEATRE COMPANY - AGE 11+

Sessions are on a Friday from 4.30pm -6.30pm

Join our Youth Theatre Company STAGESTRUCK  and experience workshops, rehearsals and performances at Stantonbury Campus Theatre. Equally effective for those with little experience who will start to develop general acting, improvisation and stage skills; and for those who have already attended drama workshops or performed who will have the chance to stretch themselves further and work towards a full length production on the theatre's stage.

TRY A FREE TASTER SESSION (Subject to availability)

Terms run in 10 - 12 week blocks depending on the school calendar. Members joining part way through a term will be charged pro-rata. STAGESTRUCK is a performance based young people’s theatre. Sessions will help children reach their full potential in a performance environment, and increase self confidence and self esteem and giving opportunities for young people to learn and express themselves. Whilst working towards at least two full length performances a year on the theatre’s stage sessions will explore some of the following:

 µ Storytelling µ Voice µ Movement µ Improvisation µ Character µ Role Play µ Devising

Our aim is to create an environment where young people feel comfortable and learn through positive experiences; constantly pushing the boundaries of youth theatre and always aiming to cover new and interesting ground.

No previous experience is required and there are no auditions to join Stagestruck. However it is likely that children who attend Stagestruck will audition for roles in the shows that are performed on the stage.

What we do need is commitment and enthusiasm as the success of shows will depend on this and we aim to and set high artistic standards. We will encourage young people to take ownership of their work and in a wider sense to take responsibility for their actions.

To join contact the theatre on 01908 324422 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  - you will be sent an Application Form and details of how to pay.

Below is a guide to what the children will learn although it does depend on the children themselves, their understanding, development and enjoyment. At the end of the three terms we will combine all the classes and produce a show for an audience in the theatre, where the children will have the chance to showcase all the skills they have learnt throughout the year.
